illycaffè spa is a subsidiary of the Illy family Holding, Gruppo illy SpA  whose mission consists in developing in the long run a flavor pole, in which each company can achieve with its experience and strength the status of high brand benchmark.

Gruppo illy has mainly focused its activities on the areas of colonial products (such as coffee, tea, and chocolate), confectionery products, and complementary goods to coffee. This strategy amounts to a return to the origins, taking into account that at the beginning of the Thirties the Illy family’s business was already focused on the same selection of products, later on left aside in order to give attention to coffee alone

Gruppo illy SpA, headed by its president Riccardo Illy, pursues a strategy aimed at strengthening and developing businesses founded on an entrepreneurial spirit that puts passion for the product and for quality up front, and firmly believes this passion to be an indispensable prerequisite for corporate growth.

Besides illycaffè, Gruppo illy controls Domori (high quality chocolate producer – July 2006), Dammann Frères (French tea brand – March 2007), Mastrojanni (wine farm of Montalcino – September 2008), and has a share in Agrimontana (leader company in the production of top-of-the-line confectionery products, such as marron glacés and jams – December 2005)
